Sea Load Control Finland Oy Ltd was founded on April 14, 1988, by Captain Esa Anttio, a graduate sea captain from Sundsvall/Härnösand University with maritime experience since 1978. Initially headquartered in Marttila near Turku, our early focus was on vessel loading consultations and supercargo operations.
In the 1990s, we expanded into vessel brokerage and shipping clearance, eventually concentrating on inspection services, including vessel and cargo inspections, delivery and reception checks, and damage assessments.
In 1994, we established Sea Load Control America Inc., enhancing our global presence. This expansion proved pivotal in the early 2000s when we became authorized representatives for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Our commitment to quality was further recognized in 1995 when we were selected as an authorized inspection group for the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) in London.
Captain Esa Anttio has been the Managing Director since the company's inception. He holds the Finnish Central Chamber of Commerce's Authorized Goods Inspector title, specializing in vessels, cargo handling, transport damage, and grain product inspections. His extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in guiding the company to its current stature.
